Cover Artist

Our front cover painting, “Summer Garden-Peonies,” is brought to you by Brianna Titus, a multidisciplinary artist based in Somerset County, NJ. Her work reflects her personal experiences, strongly emphasizing equine art. Over fifteen years of riding, volunteering, and working at a local stable have profoundly shaped her connection to horses, which is seen throughout her portfolio. Brianna works across various mediums, including drawing, painting, digital art, and printmaking. She uses photography as a basis for her work, using many of her photographs as references. She believes her personal photography connects to her lived experiences, making the creative process more meaningful.

Inspired by her former art teachers at Watchung Hills Regional High School, Brianna chose to pursue a career in art education. She earned a BA in Art Education and K–12 Teaching Certification from The College of New Jersey in 2022. She teaches art at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. She is set to complete her Master’s degree in Art Education from the Art of Education University this summer.

Passionate about the interdisciplinary nature of art, Brianna values how it allows her to weave together her interests in education, personal storytelling, and creativity. She believes that continuing her own artistic practice strengthens her as an educator, keeping her connected to the process her students experience in the classroom.

Summer Garden – Peonies is a watercolor painting that captures a tree peony's delicate, pale pink blooms, reflecting her ongoing interest in the natural world.
