Kope Electric, LLC out of Lebanon, NJ, understands the costly detriment power loss and unsafe electrical systems can have. Recently celebrating its 15th anniversary, this fully licensed and insured local business is your “do it once, do it right” choice for the electrical needs of Hunterdon, Somerset and Morris residents.

If you attended the Bernards Township Chamber of Commerce's annual Trick or Treat, you may have visited Kope Electric’s 2023 Finding Nemo-themed tent. “We love sponsoring this BTCC annual event,” says Sara Carle, director of operations. “The turnout is overwhelming, and we love to see all the kids dressed up, especially family group costumes. My son enjoys handing out goodies more than trick-or-treating. He’s already brainstorming themes for 2024!”

Kope Electric also supports the Kelsey Charity Run, BW Nice, YMCA and various local shelters and rescues each year. “Our dachshund, Captain Peanuts, is not only a great model for generator photos, he’s also the reason for our soft spot for dogs. At 16, he will welcome back our crews at the end of the day and enjoy a quick sniff of the day’s worksites."

As a NJ small business enterprise, Kope Electric is a public works, DPMC, and SDA-recognized company, which allows them to take on government and school electrical work. “By upholding these credentials, Kope Electric can serve a broader range of clientele,” says its owner, Jeremy Kope.

Kope Electric’s biggest request is to install, maintain and repair Generac automatic standby generators. “With today’s unstable and over-extended electrical grid, there’s a heavy demand for a backup power source,” stresses Sara. “I can’t express enough to do your homework when investing in a generator. It’s not all about price with this peace-of-mind purchase. Hire a licensed professional who will warranty and service the unit and is manufacturer-trained to fix it should an issue arise. It’s also important that your contractor is local, offers multiple ways to contact them and doesn’t subcontract your job out. Our in-house team installs, warranties, services and repairs our air and liquid-cooled Generac generator installations from A to Z.”

Adds Jeremy, “Ongoing education in industry safety, updated code, and new technology and trends, such as electric vehicle charging and specialty certifications, such as Generac, equip our employees to provide reliable and knowledgeable service. Our employees bring skillsets from various backgrounds: mechanics, vocational/tech/trade schools, and industrial shop experience. I started in electrical in 1997, doing everything from residential and hospitals to healthcare and pharmaceutical level services. I obtained my electrical license in 2008 and immediately started the business. We’ve grown a seasoned group that can manage everything from homes to businesses.”

“The only way you stay in business is by having a good name,” says Sara. “We answer the phone and return calls, as a courtesy.” Responsiveness is not always a common trait among contractors. Kope Electric is easy to connect with via phone, email, and website.
